Bishop A. Leon Williams Sr. is the Founder and Senior pastor of The Cathedral of New Harvest Episcopal Baptist Church. A respected spiritual leader, philanthropist, and humanitarian, he is dedicated to creating and providing programs, resources, and services to help the less fortunate. He is resolutely committed to unconditional outreach, and leads the diverse congregation of The Cathedral of New Harvest Episcopal Baptist Church with integrity and excellence.
Bishop Williams is also the Founder and Presiding Prelate of The Episcopal Baptist Church Fellowship, founded on love, God’s Word, and a passion for humanity, episcopacy and accountability, specifically amongst Baptist. It too operates with the same spirit of purpose and excellence as does the church. As a result, many pastors have yielded support and consideration to the call of excellence and accountability offered by the Fellowship. As a direct result of the diligent work in the call that has been assigned to the life of Bishop Williams, the Lord has multiplied Blessings and Favor upon the lives and mantles that are passed from the Church and Fellowship. Both simultaneously are poised for great effectiveness for the Kingdom of God and destined for exponential growth.
The Phoenix Consortium for Social Change was founded by Bishop A. Leon Williams Sr., as a response to the social phenomena that exists in the urban community, specifically within the African American church as it relates to the extinction of the African American male, the deterioration of the African American family, and the need for community and economic development.
Bishop Williams has completed Studies in Multi Disciplines, having completed an accredited Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration, from American Intercontinental University that would lead on to the completion of the Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In line with his passion and zeal for Higher Education he would also later complete the Master of Business Administration from the same institution. Bishop Williams is employed by the Ft. Bend Independent School District as a Business Education Teacher. Having a love for education and at risk students Bishop Williams recently completed a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Having a firm understanding and having spent several years under great leaders in ministry, he also went on to sharpen his ministerial skills and understanding by pursuing Seminary studies at prestigious Schools such as Liberty University; located in Lynchburg, VA., Beeson Divinity School; located in Birmingham, AL., The Interdenominational Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Ga. Leading to the attainment of the Masters of Theology. He has also completed Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Bishop Williams is the proud father of seven children, Alexis who is serving in (US Navy), Ariel, Thandie, Addison, Anthony Jr.,Anthony lll (Trey), Walker.
